Original WWII German Close Combat Clasp (Nahkampfspange)
Original WWII German Close Combat Clasp (Nahkampfspange) in relic condition, recovered from the ground. Despite its condition, the badge remains easily identifiable, retaining much of its original detail, including the crossed bayonet and hand grenade beneath the national eagle.
The reverse still features the original pin assembly and visible maker markings:
- FEC. W.E. PEEKHAUS BERLIN
- AUSF. A.G.M.u.K. GABLONZ
The badge exhibits heavy combat-related corrosion and zinc deterioration consistent with prolonged ground recovery, while preserving an attractive untouched relic appearance. It has not been cleaned or restored.
An excellent example for collectors of battlefield relics, excavation finds, or those seeking an authentic relic display piece with clearly identifiable manufacturer markings.
Condition:
- Original ground-recovered relic
- Original pin and hinge remain attached
- Maker marked on the reverse
- Untouched patina with genuine battlefield corrosion
- Structurally solid despite material loss
- Ideal for relic or excavation collections
A genuine battlefield relic of one of the Wehrmacht's most sought-after combat awards, displaying authentic age, history, and character.
