Original German M40 helmet shell in relic condition, recovered from the ground. The helmet retains a substantial amount of its original blue-grey wartime paint, with honest surface corrosion and an attractive aged patina. The original liner band is still present, while the leather liner survives only in fragile remnants. The helmet has been carefully cleaned after recovery but has not been restored or repainted, preserving its authentic relic appearance.
