Original German General Assault Badge (Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen), awarded to Wehrmacht soldiers who took part in infantry-style combat actions but were not eligible for the Infantry Assault Badge. Introduced in 1940, it became one of the most recognized combat awards of the German Army during WWII.
