This example retains its original field-grey finish with visible period wear and honest age-related patina. The drum opens and closes correctly, with the internal belt guide and spring assembly present. Manufacturer marking "bxo 1940" is clearly stamped on the lid, identifying production by Wilhelm von Hagen Metallwarenfabrik, Lüdenscheid, during 1940.
