Original German M40 Luftwaffe helmet shell

Original German M40 Luftwaffe helmet shell in relic condition, recovered from the ground. The helmet retains a large amount of its original Luftwaffe blue-grey wartime paint, giving it excellent display appeal despite its battlefield damage.

The original liner band is still present, while the leather liner has deteriorated over time. The shell shows multiple combat-related penetrations and shrapnel damage, including a large hole in the crown and several additional impacts to the sides.

The helmet has been cleaned after recovery but remains unrestored, preserving its authentic wartime character, natural patina, and original finish. A genuine battlefield relic with excellent display appeal, ideal for any WWII militaria collection.
